Harvesting and gathering
Before proceeding with the harvest, we must have selected the method well in advance, as the preparation of the machinery, soil, and other requirements can make our profit margin much more favorable.
Maturity, time, geography, and technique are some of the key factors.
Today's agriculture, in order to compete in today's markets, has seen the need to employ optimized and specialized machinery to perform this task in the shortest possible time and with the best results. That's why we also use equipment adapted to the different types of harvesting and cultivation for greater profitability.
At Almolive Agroservices, we specialize in harvesting mainly almond and olive trees, whether intensive, super-intensive, or traditional, with both ground and overhead harvesting.
How do we do it?
1st - Evaluate, select and prepare
Depending on various factors such as variety, soil, weather, or fruit ripeness, one type of harvesting method or another will be chosen, as well as the timing. This way, we ensure greater profitability and improved results.
After this, we will prepare the land to suit the type of harvest, as well as the equipment. We will clear the soil, remove obstacles such as rocks or weeds, and adjust and tune our machines.
2nd - Appropriate machinery and technique
Whether ground or aerial harvesting, intensive, super-intensive, or traditional, we have numerous technicians and machinery adapted to each type of plantation:
Umbrellas
Vibrators
Windrowers
Blowers
Harvesters
Nets
Etc...
3rd - Collection
FLIGHT
The tree is harvested using blankets, umbrellas, riding harvesters, or inclined planes. The method is adapted to the acreage, type of soil, plantation, and the specific needs of the farmer.
This is followed by the decapotation and cleaning process, both of the stems and leaves, using our specialized machines.
SOIL
The plantation is prepared for harvesting, clearing the land of rocks, branches, leaves, the canopy, and various other debris.
We then proceed to harvest with our soil equipment, leaving the product free of any possible branches, leaves, or other unwanted parts.
